    I took apart my Genesis model 1 and ended up wrecking the board. Now all I have is the case. What should I do with it?

    Usually when I've had an extra case around for whatever reason, I use it as an excellent opprotunity for a trial paint-job.

    (It's too bad they're black, I really want to attempt plastic dying on something other than just old Game Boys)

    Fix the board and put it back in.

    Possibly the best option.

    @8bitplus Sounds like a good idea. But I'm not sure yet.
    @Calpis I can't. It's beyond repair. Trust me

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks :)

    Stick a different console in it, or perhaps one of those TV game plug in units. You could get a megadrive one, and have twenty games (or whatever it is) built in.

    Beyond repair like an irreplaceable chip's pins were broken off? I still think it would be better to keep the console whole. Maybe sell it to someone damaged, or as parts. Sure you won't recoup much money or anything but someone could probably make use of it by fixing their broken console or upgrading their ugly case. When people try to put stuff inside cases usually it's not a good idea, it looks horrible, it's thrown out and stuff is wasted.

    Candy box! Someone did that a while back with a GameCube case. Pointless but novel.
