Yep Gummy Bears, Duck Tales, Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers, darkwing duck, etc. =P Not to poo poo on mid/late 90's cartoons. Some of the early WB stuff was great (animaniacs, freakazoid, Batman when WB first took over).
Oh the Gummy Bears. The title song was so stupid, but I loved the stories and their little gimmicks. The crazy rollercoaster thing below the ground was an inspiration for many sandbox experiments conducted by me and my friends, lol.
I used to watch those with my younger siblings and thought they were okay. They didn't exactly match my tastes as I was still addicted to 80's cartoons like Transformers, ROBOTECH, Voltron, Gobots and ThunderCats. Hmm, the one 90's cartoon I really did enjoy was Bots Master. Has anyone else watched it?
I remember Bots Master, but nobody else ever does. Of the 90s cartoons I used to watch Batman: TAS (have all the DVDs, best cartoon ever), Animaniacs, Freakazoid and Darkwing Duck...really don't get how Disney supposedly had great cartoons back then. Sure, Darkwing, Duck Tales and Chip & Dale were great, but Gummy Bears was just shit as well as the later abortions (Bonkers, Quack Pack).
Born in '92. In used to watch those TV Shows, and a lot of anime. In 1995 a local TV Channel called "Magic Kids" (anyone from Argentina that was born in the late 80s/early 90s remebers it) started airing Anime in 1995, they aired Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, and a lot more.
thanks, I'm usually the oldest one on games forums & my choices of games are usually as old as the skateboards I ride
I was born in '84, and despite not yet hitting 30 I'm starting to feel that age is quickly creeping up on me... Well, it doesn't help that I'm going grey, blind and suffering like mad with progressive arthiritis that has ruined my knee joints and made raising my right arm above my head difficult already (which has effectively ended my drumming career, but life goes on)! To make matters worse, I've found that I increasingly like the kinds of things my dad does - especially when it comes to books and music - plus I'm spending more and more time online watching any television programmes from the mid 90s I can find. I've even developed a new hobby that involves me collecting downloaded advertisements from this era. Nostalgia, 'eh?
I'm the reverse I don't age people still think I'm 25 In good shape ect BUT since I was a kid I've had a High ass hairline and it drives me MAD
1969 :crying: The hair's started greying, the beard is patchy grey and white and it's a right bastard bending down in the morning to put your socks on, I shit you not. As for cartoons, has anyone even heard of 'The Groovy Ghoulies', 'Super Chicken' or Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home' let alone watched them? And who the fuck is Darkwing Duck? Everybody around the age of 20 and under is a kid to me as my eldest will be 21 next birthday. I'm going for a lie down for a bit with a nice mug of hot cocoa.
It's nice to hear someone else has watched the show. Hardly anyone I know has seen it so I'm wondering if it's a regional thing. When it aired I was living in central Florida at the time. I fully agree with you on Batman TAS. When Batman Tomorrow came out, I tried to keep up with it, but wasn't able to stay interested.
I'm totally still living in the 90's. I listen to music from the 90's, play videogames from the 90's, watch movies and TV shows from the 90's, and so on. One good thing about nostalgia is sometimes you get a different view of things than what you initially had. For example, most of the music I listen to came out when I was growing up, but I didn't listen to it at the time. I only started listening to it recently. I think things have gotten better in some ways, and worse in others. In any case, I think it's cool that we live in a society where you can live in the past, present, and future all at once.
Shit, don't say that. 6 mor years and I'll be there. I know wait 'Til Your father Gets Home. I was a bit young to really remember it but I do remember it being quite a simple looking American cartoon. I still remember the theme tune though. I think it was aired on the BBC in the UK. It was normally on around the same time as Roman Holiday. Cartoons I loved as a kid were Muppet Babies, The Real Ghostbusters (first 2 seasons), TMNT, Dungeons & Dragons (the same guys that did Peter's voice in the real Ghostbusters played Eric and I F*ing hated that unicorn), Transformers (first 3 seasons), He-Man (that was a bit shit though), Mask, The Shmoo, Top Cat, Thundercats (kick ass even now!), Captain Caveman, Whacky Racers, Vicky the Viking, Ulysses (love that show), Battle of the Planets (G-Force in the States and Gatchaman in Japan) and many more.
