I'm getting a bit bored with my titles... I haven't had much of an urge to play except for a few PGR4 races of late. Not sure how that one popped onto the radar again but it did... Here's where I'm at in terms of decent games: GTA IV Half Life 2 Halo 3 Gears of War Dead Rising Bioshock COD4 Maybe 6 or 7 others that I won't be playing again.... I've really only played Half Life 2 since I stopped playing GTVIV about a month ago. I haven't touched GoW or Bioshock since I finished them, same with COD4. No real interest in heading back there again. I was thinking about Ninja Gaiden II and Soul Calibur IV, but I'm not too excited about those. Is there anything good on the horizon? I've downloaded demos for Burnout Paradise, NCAA 09, Quake Wars, a few XBOX Arcade games....nothing really seems to be holding my interest for more than 1 or 2 plays. Have I reached a plateau with the 360?
Bioshock was a cool game at its start but then I got bored of it half-way through. Dunno why, seemed very repetative after u get used to the atmosphere and the general setup.
Yup. I felt the same with the 360 lately because I've played all I wanted to play, but I ended up ordering Lost Odessey. You could get Tomb Raider Legend, Rock Band, Crackdown, and theres a bunch of other crap really. Seems like theres a giant load of good games coming November/September though.
Ninja Gaiden II you can blow through in a bout a week on it's lowest difficulty Wait for a price drop. Too expensive for a week's worth of play. Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit is fun. Though you kinda have to be up on your DBZ Lore to understand what's going on and if you are a fan you'll see they gloss over alot of story too. Lost Oddessy is great Def pick up Too Human most fluid combat I've experienced in a game and that's just the demo.
You need to pick up 'GRID race driver' for a driving game and 'Battlefield: bad company' for a shooter. Both games are stunning online and in single player mode.
The new WOTB (Commando 3) is pretty decent, and Mr. Driller was a 'must-have', for me. And, at 400 points, UNO was an impulse purchase.
I also found it really cool but when I thought I was almost at the end (when you meet that Ryan dude) and then realized I was just 2/3 of the game I put the disc back in its case and never touched it again lol. It can get pretty boring up to that point. Excellent game. I played it on 360 and it was freakin' awesome, despite the fact of freezing sometimes or having some framerate drop. The filmgrain effect looks good, but also you can get a bit tired of it. You could also try Crackdown, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rockband, Eternal Sonata (not many people like it, but I find it interesting), Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, among others. Or wait a couple of months as some great games are coming out.
Agree on the game, but hold off until the system update that lets you play from the hard drive comes through. The game is so jerky from constant loading it's just not funny.
I liked all of the games I played, especially BioShock. The problem is that I just have no interest in picking them up again. Now I go to my console, fire it up, browse through my games....then turn the 360 off and go do something else...heh. I'm starting to get a bit worried.
When I get that way, I just send my wife to the store to randomly pick up a game for me. It's amazing how well that works out.
Hey, don't worry, it may be just a phase, it happens to everyone. It did happen to me earlier this year (even made a thread about it), I didn't feel the need to play anything and if I tried to play something I wouldn't stand more than 15 minutes. A couple of weeks or almost a month without playing anything and suddenly the need came rushing back and it felt great.
If youre looking for a game with a good story and setting try out The Darkness. Not the best shooter in the world, but dammit I loved every minute of this game. Also, someone said something about the film grain effect in Mass Effect, just wanted to add that you can disable the effect in the options menu.
It's not terribly long. I think it took me two or three days to beat it. It has some awesome, near emotionaly intense things in it. Unfortunatly it also has a few glitches in it. Nothing horrid but they are there.
