What's the current status on a region-free N64 mod?

    Hey there guys,
I remember hearing in the past that there have been attempts to make a completely region-free Nintendo 64. Something about replacing the console's security circuitry with a custom one. Does anyone know if that ever went anywhere? What, if any, are available mods to get a N64 that can play both NTSC and PAL games?

No different than the other thread (which you posted in).

Other thread? Have I started a thread on this topic before? My memory must be going.

It works perfectly, but performing the mod requires stable hands and 5-9 pins switched.

Cool, something to think about doing for the future! Is Otakus-store the only place selling them? And do you know any good installation guides?
