What's the most you've spent for a single dev/proto item?

The most I've spent for a single dev item is $258, but I'm sure there're some of us who have spent more than the price of a cheap car!

$325ish for the TEST PS2. I'm not much of a development person - I'm more interested in prototypes.

 

Hmm, probably about $400-500... but hey, I'm buying a car for £50 - that's under $100

 

Ode to Saturn

$250 for a Saturn Sophia Programming Box and Genesis controller with a red switch.
Sold it for the same price about two months later. I was suprised I didn't regret it at the time (nothing meaningful I could do with it) but lately I've been wanting it back...

Errr.... about 75GBP for a Psy-Q Saturn set (ie, Japanese Saturn modded with NMI cable and Virtual CD board + Psy-Q cartridge)

 

That's not a Genesis controller if it came with the Sophia - it is a proto Saturn pad!!!!! The one that came with the Sophia.

 

$750 for a yaroze new. I probably should have waited to find one on Ebay......

 

Sold my sole working 12 hours a day then got shafted for two months pay for an Xbox debug

 

325 for a test ps2, correct me im wrong, that sounds like an amazing deal

Sorry, should've been more specific: It was shaped identically to a Genesis controller.
