Whats the name of the computer that also had a Nintendo inside?

There was a never-appearently released PC compatable that had a Nintendo inside (like and Amstrad MegaPC, or an IBM Terradrive, except Nintendo instead of Sega). At least one magazine had an article about. I can't remember the name now (and therefore have no idea what to search for). Not a Dev unit or the Doctor PCjr either.

BTW, anyone found one of these?

Is this a white machine that has a 3 1/2 disc drive on the right side of the keyboard?

If so, I saw one some 5 years ago in a local store where stuff is so expensive it takes ten years for it to sell. Didn't have a box or anything - and I'm not really sure it DID have a Nintendo inside. But it did say "computer, word processor AND nintendo" somewhere on the handwritten sign above it. It was, prohibitively expensive, though. I don't remember the name OR make of the machine.

All videogames are called "nintendo" down here, though, so it could have been a computer that played games without being a nintendo.

    Is this any help?

The only computers I've seen with Famis in them are Famiclones.

There was one that Bung was trying to get into Chinese schools. From what I remember it did very basic word processing and stuff, and had some rediculous number of inbuilt games too. But it was a full computer system.

StarWolf: what you are talking about is the Dr.PCJr. (http://www.zyx.com/chrisc/drpcjr/)

I did hear, maybe in a book like Game Over, that one company had designed a PC with an NES in it, but it wasn't official, and didn't get a release. But I have no hard data on it, so good luck searching.

    Bit Corporation?

As far as I remember Bit Corporation, a Korean company mada a PC with a built-in NES clone.
Bit Corporation was the company responsible for the Dina system, a Colecovision/SG-1000 clone (aka Telegames Personal Arcade) and for the Gamate handheld system.
They also built two PC systems: PC-60 (with a built-in Atari 2600 clone) and PC-90 (with a built-in Colevision clone).
Back several years ago (1986 maybe?) in a US magazine there was an article about Bit Corporation: in that magazine they mentioned the Gamate game system, a never released Color Gamate system and the above mentioned PC with built-in NES clone. If I remember well, there were at least two models planned.

    Regards,

    Fabrizio

That is pretty neat, and is close to what I'm thinking of. (not sure if the article had a pic or not) What I was looking for was definately a NES computer though. I remember the article saying something aobut the computer having TV out, which was appearently a un-common feature then. I can't remember if I saw a scan online, or an article in a magazine I have...

    "Famicom Home Computer

No more than a intel 286 combined with an NES. Never had a big following in Japan, but there are some out there. Came standard with a disk drive, NES drive, 20 meg internal HD pre-installed with a bunch of MSDOS games." -- http://www.snakepeople.net/spnes.html which also had the pic.
