    Hi guys,

I recently purchased an already RGB modded JAP N64 off ebay.

The moment I loaded Mario 64, I noticed something is wrong.

Please have a look at this video I made and tell me what you think.

How could I fix this color changing mess?

    Thanks

    Tek

I think it is caused by some sort of short with the blue "RGB" wire.
Before you do anything, open up the system and check it's wireing, perhaps the blue one interfears with others, or is touching something it shouldn't :)
However it could, actually be your "RGB" cable from console to telly.
What are you using there, scart?

The colors are dark/oversaturated/distorted most likely because the seller incompetently wired the DAC to the multi-out instead of using an amplifier. This greatly stresses the DAC's outputs and breaks compatibility with most TVs in existence. You can try increasing your TV's contrast setting to compensate for the darkness, but the non-linear distortion cannot be compensated for. You can fix everything by re-performing the mod using an amplifier.
