...or your primary source of income? I'm assuming for a lot of you modding and stuff is just a hobby, so what is it that you do that supports your habits? Right now I just work in a call center while in school, they have a dev. team that I'm hoping I can get into upon graduating. The company is Total Attorneys, just in case anyone is curious(like me). Sometimes I put ads up on craigslist to do people computer science homework:icon_bigg, I usually charge about $25-$50, depending on what it is, its good for lunch or weekend night money. How about you all?
I'm at University, working in a high street shop part time (2days plus any extra that I can fit in) on the photo department.. mainly developing peoples photos, selling cameras, that kind of thing..
@phate I don't know whether you are joking or you actually do do it for a living??? @marshallh I like your avatar.. Cowboy Bebop was an amazing show.. and Faye Valentines b(.)(.)bs were pretty darn big.:sexy2:
I am joking. I don't actually send spam. I actually work for a software company that specializes in email marketing software. We have some big names that email with our goods. Its actually really interesting what someone has to do to get into your inbox with an ad: There are these rules you have to follow (CAN-SPAM), you have to play nice while emailing (IP reputation) and listen to what the ISPs say (Feedback Loops), and have all around useful content (Spam filters).
Camera shop (shit, my second one), doing digitizing orders in the back. I get only a few hours a week and it's barely enough to afford some food and enough gas to get to the other side of town for class every other day. And the cellphone bill. (Shit, I'm starting another school simultaneously next week so there goes even more money to transportation...)
I worked in a camera shop when I left school, helping out with the minilab. I was amazed by some of the crazy shit that respectable looking people handed in for developing
Programmer, writing systems to handle and process statistical data. Yes, it's as boring as it sounds.
Yeah. A few years ago I worked for (the now defunct) Ritz Camera. At least I got to sit down to print orders, haha. I've got some awesome stories about things I've printed. Best job ever.
