so, i was just playing Gradius on my old good nes, but my fingers started to litterally bleed! so i turned my console off. and i started to try differents ways to make my next sessions more enjoyable. i tried every pads i had, the advantage, it had some advantages, like the arcade feel, but it thought it wasn't responsive enough. the max controller was sloppy and that glove was out of question. I tired to put bandages on my tumbs to protect them, but it felt strange, and my tumbs couldn't move as easly as before. So, you must have any trick to play nes games confortably for a long time that you could explain?

    thx.

LOL, you can find the dog bone controller with the Top Loader NES or NES 2 @ eBay.

well, they're going for 50 bucks, that's without the shipping and handling, and if you're lucky. though i would love to own a nes that will never blink, that comes with a confortable snes-like controller and that would make my collection looking better, i don't have any dollard to spend on this, sadly. And i don't really like ebay. in fact, i've never buyed any video games on ebay, and i doubt i will in a near future.

so, erase the top loader/dogbone option from the list, please. :)

Try the NES Advantage...you know...the arcadeish control. I love em...fun for arcade games...even though they're not arcade perfect. Great fun for all those Konami arcade games...try one with Jackal. Scratch that. Just play Jackal. I never hear anybody talk about Jackal. That one's a blast.

A messiah, a new NES controller that's wireless, looks well-built and the best of all - it has a SNK style D-pad! :-D :-D :-D
I'm not sure where to find it, though, but I bet other forumites can help you with that.

Are Nintendo controllers made by Nintendo expensive or anything? I went to play Battletoads and discovered my wonderful stepdad threw both my controllers away...

Jackal was one of my favorite NES games from back in the day!

Ground-based Choplifter style gameplay with jeeps! What's not to like!! :)

Do you really want to know the best way to play NES games on your TV? Play them on the Dreamcast through NESTERDC. It's an amazing emulator that plays everything I've ever thrown at it with 100% sound and speed with no frame skip. It's easily better than some of the PC NES Emulators out there ! Every mapper available works too. Plus you can now play your NES games in true RGB :D

Yeah, but when i'm on gradius, i'm just not able to take a break. :(

Yeah, i have the nes advantage, and i like it alot...but not necersary hardcore arcade games (such as gradius and contra), because i'm not as fast as i am with a regular pad when i play with it.

And i just LOVE Jackal, this game is awesome, i think it's a forgoten gem too.:)

Nah, they can be found everywhere for cheap. Hey, but wait, i have a step pad too! you can play other games than these olympic games with it?

Yak, you and your forever love for sega :p Where can i download it?

It should be somewhere on DCEmulation.com. There are a few games I haven't been able to run with it without screwing up, but my guess is that they were bad dumps.
