Preferably organized by system and downloadable.

I have a project I'm working on and I could use complete lists every commercial console.

I've googled around but can't find much, well nothing in downloadable form.

www.gamerankings.com would be a great start!

It has a huge database and it contains every console system.

Hahaha, oops! I didn't mean to leave that as just that! I think I fell asleep on my keyboard! Leaving it like that, as it reads quite well on its own, though

Why downloadable lists? That can lead to not checking properly and leaving mistakes in. If you have to retype the list, at least you'll know that the errors are your responsibility, and you had the chance to catch them ;-)

I was writing a book many years ago, which I had to abandon for several reasons. It was similar to, but at the same time different from, the efforts at Digital Press (which were in their infancy also). Anyone who has written such a tome will tell you how much time they spent writing, comiling and checking lists! I'll take this opportunity to mention his site, though, www.digitpress.com - there are lots of lists there! Whilst some aren't necessarily complete, it's a good start. Why not get the books if you haven't already?

You'll find several lists on gamefaqs, I do believe. Often, sites dedicated to a console will have lists - Satakore for Saturn, SMS Power for Master System, PC-FX World for PC-FX, AtariAge for Atari consoles etc.

Game Rankings is missing a hell of a lot of stuff. It doesn't have ALL consoles, far from it. Where's the Super A'Can for a start? And it doesn't have Japanese games, IIRC... at least when I checked on Saturn it didn't.

In short, if you're going to take on something like this, I'm afraid you'll have to do a TON of research and list compiling of your own, first! There's no easy way out ;-)

    Thanks for the info.

It doesn't have to be too comprehensive to begin with, and most of the missing items info will hopefully be supplied by other people.

Can't say what this is for just yet.

Digitpress has a fairly complete database, I think.
