I've recently just picked up a 22 game saturn import lot on ebay and paid roughly $7 a game which is good in my eyes but where is a good place to get imports? I know theres ebay but a lot of them the seller is over in japan so the game is 20 but shipping is 20 so its really 40. Has anyone ever dealt with toysnjoys.com? or i think it's called japangamestock.com or something like that..I've been looking at their sites for a while but still trying to decide where to buy from.

play-asia, but that's primarily where I go to get new releases.

as for older games...ebay, or a middleman type service.

    Waaaaaa Waaaaaa (WARNING WARNING)

Dont ever use Toysnjoys they are the biggest ripoff merchants ever, they offer very poor service. I once bought a gameboy light from them they said it was silver & boxed & new. When i actually got my parcel i had been sent a scratched to fuck used gold one with no box just loose rattling round in the shipping box.

For my imports i use a combination of play asia & our very own Yakumo off of here but i tend to limit the amount of stuff i get from him as he is a pretty busy guy nowdays.

...on trips to Japan or America

Failing that, ebay, or better, forums like this one, Shmups.com or Neo-Geo.com.

Buygame2.com (but mostly for new stuff). I've been using them for years now and they've been top notch service and always a few bucks cheaper then play-asia.

on ebay, forums and from now on I'll use yahoo as well. Their prices are still cheap and you have the chance on a bargain much more often than on ebay.

Well, I live in Europe and I consider US games to be "imports" as well, yeah. Every time I head stateside I stock up on cheap PS2 games and such, anything to avoid those ass-raping 60e/game prices here :banghead:

For Americans, I've found that NCS is the most reliable source for import games. They're located in New York and have a good record for getting the best stuff. They also provide American titles to EU customers upon request. They're not the most competitive on pricing, but they make up for it by being able to get just about any current generation title.

Me, too. He's always got a lot of good things on sale.
I'll buy it at a high price.
I'm surprised he doesn't know my name by now, I've bought from him many many times.

Toys N joys is horrible they charge you for games they don't even have in stock you have to harass them to get them to ship your games. Pretty much you have to threaten them with Violence to get them to ship things.

Used them twice and only as a last resort. SInce I started using play asia I pretty much don't go anywhere else.

Play Asia has a nice selection/service when it comes to new games. Used? They suck (price wise). Your best bet is the for sale list at places like this and shmups. UGTZ I guess isn't too bad. I have a for sale list that I update. Failing that, the auction middlemen services are the "sure fire" way to get stuff, but gets pricey if you just want a measly $10-$20 game.
