Just saw some videos of Recalbox and really wanted to give it a try.

Unfortunately the Brazilian distributor for raspberry pi closed down last year and with the Real only worth 0.25 of a dollar, the prices on other stores is simply ridiculous. A 35 dollar board (140 Reais) is now being sold for 300 Reais (75 dollars) or even higher.

So i was wondering were i could find a cheap place to buy it. A kit with a case and power supply would be great, but wouldn't mind getting just the pi itself and looking for the other needed stuff here.

    Thanks for the help.

Can't believe i forgot about aliexpress. Thanks for the link, i'll check it out.

It might take ages to arrive, but it's the better option.

I'd be careful... the box is different, so I assume it's a fake clone. Reading feedback for that seller, someone stated that they had trouble with higher capacity sd cards, and that the quality of the product isn't the same as the previous rpi they purchased.

I don't think they are necessarily fakes. Some of the Chinese-made official rpi1 boards also had issues, seems they still might not have their shit together 100%.

That being said, I have a chinese rpi1 model a and an orangepi, both work just fine. At those prices, imho it's a risk worth taking.

You could pay a trusted person to buy one from reputable sources and then ship it to you. The only issue is Brazil custom, it's slower than a constipated snail and they may tack on hefty fees. The last time I shipped anything there, a $25 used part ended up almost $100 for him after being held up for about 2 months. :(

Maybe a friend who regularly travels between Brazil and other countries? He or she could pick up a few, hide them in their suitcases, fly to Brazil and give it to you.
