    Found some interesting information today.
Apparently, in 1993 a lot of Tecno Soft's staff left to create a studio called CAProductions. Now, this means that the last games these people really worked on were Thunder Force IV and the arcade version of Hyper Duel. Well, I've always found it odd that Tecno Soft's quality dropped off MAJORLY when the 32-bit era came in, and that their primary greatness came in the form of a collection, a remake, and Blast Wind (I know TFV fans will disagree, but I'm sorry, but TFV doesn't hold a candle to TFIII, TFIV, Hyper Duel, or Blast Wind(which, I have no idea WHEN Blast Wind was actually made, as I think it was originally an arcade title that Tecno Soft canceled and ported to the Saturn later to make some of that money back, I have no proof of this though)).

Now, lets look at CAProductions shall we and see what they made.

I might be mistaken, but I do believe this website claims that they worked on Bulk Slash, Zenki, and Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire for Hudson. It makes sense... especially given Sapphire's gameplay and killer soundtrack, but still... wow.

So basically, Tecno Soft's talent lives on, has lived on for awhile now, and is currently working on Wii/DS games as far as I can tell.

If any nihongo speaking members want to verify any of the above information or let us know what other games these guys have made/are making, that would be awesome.

Wow, nice find. I'll have a read of that site when I get home tonight. Hopefully it will tell us something interesting. By the way, Bulk Slash is a great game ! Looks crap at first but fantastic to play.

There's not a ton of information there. They could've done any number of tasks for those games done by other companies. They're in Nagasaki... damn... so far.

How did you link CAPRoductions to Tecno Soft?

This is pretty standard I think... unfortunately there's not a centralized repository of who's working where now.

I ran into an old friend of mine that was a Sega nut back in the day. We started talking about Tecno Soft and how great they were, and when I mentioned that I felt they fell off around the 32-bit era he said he had read about most of Tecno Soft leaving the company a after Thunder Force IV to form a new company called "Computer Artist Production".

So I looked around online and finally found their website.

I'm just glad that after all those years he still remembered the name of that company. Apparently he had been waiting for forever for them to put something out but had long since given up hope. Can't wait to tell him the good news next time I see him! (Or bad news, "Hey man, you got $400 to spare?")
