Trying to fix an EZ-Flash Advance 'EZ-Cart 256Mb'.
This one doesn't get recognised by the flash device itself, and I'm thinking it's because of the battery being dead,
although it's the rechargeable type 'Panasonic VL2020'.

See the two connection points right next to eachother?

Been looking around, and it's fairly easy to get this type of battery,
but they ALWAYS seem to have the connection points on opposite sides...
Does anyone know where I can locate this EXACT model???

You only have to replace the battery, not the connection pads.

    Yes... the wrong tags.

And they are attached to the battery, you would need to pull them off and resolder.

However, heating up a lithium battery probably isnt a smart idea.

Can't you get one and bend the tabs the other way to make it fit that? Failing that, mount the battery upside down and facing other way so the tab would line up correctly with the pad?

And using a small strip of electrical tape and a small strand of wire is too hard to solder then?

Maybe, but as Panasonic don't sell the battery in this configuration (just one with the legs further apart and probably not enough room to bend them into the soldering position), it is probably an OEM battery or at least one that has been custom made. Wire and electrical tape would be the easiest way to replace the battery. It's not like anyone is going to see the battery...
