I have a console here that I'm trying to set up for someone. It came to me pre-modded, I can only assume it's a TSOP as there's no chip and I was able to put a fresh HDD in and boot AID to configure it. And I don't have to lock it to use it. My problem is the hard drive is 200GB and I'm only getting 129GB because it seems the BIOS isn't LBA48 compatible. According to the system settings the BIOS is "(256)EvoX 2.6". I believe it's a 1.0 console. Which BIOS should I use to get the full capacity of the hard drive? I have IND 5003 somewhere but I've not used it before.
Try XBPartitioner http://www.mediafire.com/download/k9dhmj5ww4l1c8j/XBpartitioner-1_3.7z There are 3 versions of this tool, so I would Google it for more info first
Yeah I tried XBPartitioner first as I've used it before, but it just told me that there was no LBA48 support, hence needing to flash the BIOS. I think the EvoX 2.6 BIOS is really, really old. I did try and put X2 5035 on there but that just threw up some error. Not sure if I was supposed to configure it first.
You're positive its a 1.0 console? Sounds like the x2 bios you have loaded is the 256kb version not the 512. If its truely a version 1.0 or 1.1 board you shouldnt have a problem loading the other bios, if you can't you should try the IND-bios. It honestly works exactly the same just has a different bootup image.
I just used xbox partitioner 1.2 on a 320gb hard drive today....if your bios don't have lba48 support. use ind bios or evox m8+ 137gb+ bios
Make sure you properly flash the BIOS file so it expands to fill your whole 1MB bank. This is assuming that it is a v1.0-v1.1 Sadly I lost my first TSOP box due to this careless oversight+raincoat. Using EvoX to flash is the surefire way to go about it, as it will expand your selected BIOS to fill out the remaining space on the flash chip. I would use IND-5003 or X2 5035. X2 5035 is a 512KB sized BIOS, so it's worth a try for anyone with more than a 256KB bank.
