    what do you mean by outsourced? i notice everytime i have called, the rep sounded middle eastern / indian?

    HP were dreadful for me.

    My audio kept 'skipping'. They told me after 3 'repairs' (DVDRW was dodgy.. something else I forget..)The audio continued to skip. Bearing in mind that this is from MP3s and files tored on the hard drive, nothing to do with the DVDRW I could have new model- 5 later, it still skipped, no new model, they just shrugged me off.

    Managed to get an exchange for a Toshiba through a fantastic woman at the retailer.

    IBM. I had a server, no proof of ownership, just the dead drive in warranty.
    Sent me a new drive next day air, swapped it out in a flash.

    Anything business is great.

    Same thing here, ish. I had a T42 - even OOW they replaced my HDD, gave me a new power brick and sent out set of Recovery CDs and actually got back to me when they said they would (this is awesome, I sure anyone who's heard "when can I call you back..?" knows it's basically 'GTFO')

    And Apple, since the days of my G4 PowerMac through to my MBP - always courteous, quick and friendly, defo rank very high on the scale :thumbsup:
