Which games support the Konami cheat?

I always wondered about that. Personally I only know about the obvious: Contra, Gradius, Parodius... but how long did Konami implement their codes in the games? And are there some unexpected games to use it?
I began to wonder when I read over at www.satakore.com that Tokimeki Memorial Taisen Tokkaedama supports it (unlocking all characters) although it's quite a late game and not an arcade port as far as I know.
So, is there maybe a list out there with all games and of course with according information about the effect in each game? In Tokkaedama, for example, it unlocks all secret characters and stuff.

By the way, how common is it for people to use this cheat? I cleared Gradius and Contra 2 on the Famicom without it because I think it really is a cheat that would ruin the game for me. Come to think of it, I believe that I never even tried to enter it o_o

Not really, in Germany they call it "Konami cheat"

I was actually wondering what to call it since I'm writing in English, but because I didn't know about "Konami Code" I choosed "cheat" although the Japanese one came to my mind first (Konami command or commando).

I'm cool. I've since realized that having this interest will cause plenty of others to hate on me. It doesn't bother me.

Sega had some codes that were close to the Konami Code.
