Hey, Its a game I got from lot in an auction, but this one is not like anything i've seen before from anything any thoughts? I was thinking it could be a Taiwan or Hongkong game, but those boxes where looking like NTSC, It could be a japanese game, but the signs looks different.. For sure this is not korean.. So where it comes from? Box: Cart: Controllers Instructions: Manual
On the back of the box picture it says "For sale and use in Taiwan only and commercial rental prohibited". So I am going to say its from Taiwan.
I`m so blind that I did not see this.. Which brings me be to my next question, Why does it has a Japanese box? The normal Taiwan boxes/cart seems to be in PAL format:
It box looks similar in style, well colour at least, to the 2nd release in Japan was was compatible with the rumble feature. I can't read Taiwanese but maybe it is a second release in that region with the same compatability? That at or just an early alternative release?
The cart's white backdrop is very similar to the Japanese Shindou Edition of Super Mario 64. My best educated guess would be its the Taiwanese version of Super Mario 64: Shindou Edition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBawArl2H8M Seems a price check topic about the same cart ended up on Nintendo Age 3 years ago. http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=29&threadid=89021
The box and cart look just like the jpn version, even the id number on the cart is the same except for the ROC which is indeed Taiwan. The rumble version has different art work and id and also on the cart it says 1996/1997.
