As for me it would be the Revolution. I know we don't know much about it yet but the PS3 and Xbox 360 just don't interest me much. I mean yeah they are gonna have great graphics but I mean other than being prettier what new things are they gonna bring to the table. I feel like the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be this gen just prettier.

One of the main things that gets me excited about Revolution is being able to download first party Nintendo games from the past 3 generations. It is rumored that they are in negotiations with third parties in order to make all games available. Also being fully backward compatible with Gamecube (now my huge collection won't go to wasted) unlike Xbox 360. Nintendo has some of the best franchises to take online and now they are doing it and for free. I wouldn't mind paying for a Live like service but if Nintendo wants to do it for free then that is ok with me.

The industry needs something new. I mean you can look at the DS as a good example. It is something completely new to the world of handheld gaming and it is doing very well. The PSP is a very capable handheld but just doesn't do it for me. Why do I want to play hacked versions of console games on my handheld. I want my handheld experience to be totally different.

That is what I think Nintendo will do with Revolution. It will be completely new and different and that is a good thing for the industry. I think that if Nintendo were to just go the same route as Microsoft and Sony that the industry would crash. In my opinion I think the industry needs Nintendo as much as Nintendo needs the industry.

Hopefully once Nintendo does reveal what is revolutionary about the Revolution people will take notice and maybe, just maybe Nintendo can regain the market dominance that it once had.

    Xbox 360, without a doubt.
The games seem interesting (Morrowind Oblivion, Gears of War, PGR3) and I'm starting to like the design of the console as well as the features like the Gamer Card and so forth.

360, seeing how my pure hatred for Sony makes PS3 not an option and I dont know much about Revolution.

revolution too. i just hope their ''revolution'' will really be something cool and unforseen, something that would change the way you look at the video game industry. If it's not, then i fear i might be less and less interested in this hobby. the other two competitors seems to only think about power and all, and just don't care about what will run on it, and if the limits of gameplay will be pushed back. I must admit that i was more with sony this gen thant with the others (especially at the beginning), but they're on the second place for me now. Microsoft and their xbox just doesn't really interest me much, and they didn't catched my attention with their 360 either. Apart of Fable, Morrowind and Halo, nothing interest me much. they focus on power to sell, and their target is the american public, with power and sports tittles. they seems to forget the japanese market, wich imo know what games are all about.

Revolution, Pretty much for the same reasons as cahaz, and because I always am more excited by nintendo than other consoles.

  7. A 360 for the games, maybe a Revolution at a later date.

Revolution. I'm way too curious about it to not want one now. The very fact that they won't tell us anything makes me want it. Games will surely be awesome as well.

Xbox360 bores me to death, and the same applies to Playstation 3...still...I'll probably own them all in the end.

PS3. If it's nearly as powerful as Sony say.

I want to know what N are up to, but they'll fuck it up some how - prob with Mario "insert genre here" games.

Meh not really hyped for any one of them right now.
360 - The alpha stuff doesn't look to pleasant.
PS3 - How much is just the standard Sony Bull?
REV - Not enough info -P

I am with LeGIt, none of them particularly grab my interest, either nothing concrete to chew on, or nothing special available.

Not interested in any at the moment.

The least interesting is the 360 as its lineup looks to be just as generic and genre devoid as its predecessor with a couple of token Japanese titles thrown in (and I wonder how long the J support will actually last).

Right now I'm most hyped for the PS3. Even though the best stuff shown were tech demos it showed me what should be eventually possible. I'm not expecting that from the first or even second generation games but I think we'll see that performance in time.

I can't even count the Revolution since all I've seen so far is basically a black box.

    Hard to say.

XBox360: Im looking forward to it to a minimal degree because ill finaly get Kameo: Elements of Power (a game i've been following for years). 'Gears of War' looks great, but its not going to sell me on the system, in large part due to the fact that I will be able to get it for my pc as well. The problems they are having implementing backwords compatibility don't help.

PS3: It iooks to be a graphical tour-de-force based on the tech demos i've seen (particularly the ff7 one, which has my hopes up for a remake), but none of the games that im 100% sure are real time make me want to get one. Although I do like the design of the system itself (I know, im in large part alone on this one).

Revolution: Im very interested in the multi-system backwards compatibility and emulation, but I don't have much faith left in Nintendo, and im expecting them to botch it in some way or another. I love their 2D efforts, but all the 3D based consoles they have ever made have let me down. Various quotes on it not being as powerful as its competition, and how devs may or may not like it, don't fill me with confidence either.

    Revolution for me.
I was hyped with the PS2 and seriously disappointed, and post-atari american style gaming is seriously not for me.
I never did get a Gamecube - so that's also a big plus.
