I've bought a few cables from them out of laziness and the build quality appears pretty good. Nothing I can't do myself but as some of you are aware I've been busy.

Eh, a friend recently picked one up for £20 boxed and I got mine off of a kind forum member on another forum for nothing.

Just because they're asking so much on eBay doesn't mean you should pay that.

    I bought this cable.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Ninte...ideo_Game_Cables_Adapters&hash=item2ed1a33f44

Got it yesterday and I plug it in to my scart to hdmi converter and I get barely any video, very dark with no color but sound does work, plus the converter says its outputting AV instead of scart rgb,its not switching over.

I opened the cable up and its wired just like this.

I'm thinking the composite video is not wired correctly, seems like its wired to composite sync instead.

Here are some pics of said cable.

If anything I can return the cable but wanted to see if you guys can help me out.

Yes you bought the composite sync cable. It should work unless you have a mini that is not rgb modded or is modded and csync wasn't connected to the multi out.

Wow!!!!! How do you use SCART in USA?!?!?!?!? Of course, other than importing a PAL TV from UK, etc.

If you have a retail SNES display, it uses SCART and inside the big black thing is a large SCART to RGB converter board. If there's demand I could dig it out of my stash and pull the board out for pictures.

Pal snes needs different components in the cable I think so that ones not going to work. Perhaps there is a setting on the hdmi adaptor that needs changed. That cable should work.

maybe pal mode (50hz) button got pushed in by mistake?

Also when messing around with the cable I removed the 5v wire and nothing changed, acted exactly the same.

On the converter it detects the video source,I cannot change it.

So do you have a different one than you linked in the origninal post? Maybe the convertor you have doesn't work with rgb and only composite.

You also maybe blew something in the convertor if you plugged the jap21 cable into it. Your cable is most likely fine and the convertor is the problem.

Well its not mine,my buddy bought it had no idea what he was doing.

I looked more into it,this is the one he bought.
    http://www.goodluckbuy.com/scart-hdmi-to-hdmi-converter-upscaler-hdv-8s.html

I downloaded the manual and here is what it says that spikes my interest.
SCART (CVBS)/HDMI---------------------SCART or HDMI input switching button

CVBS is just a fancy term for composite video.

Make sure it's set to 60hz output. If it is, then it probably died when the jap21 cable was plugged into it.
