Can someone explain to me about the white 360 problem. Like I heard something about it gets so hot that it desolders itself. So I had 2 Xbox 360s and I gave them to my friend so he can fix it. He switched the good disc tray into the bad disc tray Xbox. game reads then goes back to home screen. ( I think the disc tray has a code for it to work with the older model 360s). If I switch the good disc tray into the bad Xbox (which has like 3 red rings.) and re solder something. Would it work? Sorry if this was confusing. Trying to do something else.
Easier said than done by the way. Don't bother fixing them, and save your money and time. They really are not worth the trouble. Please post in the right section next time, or I'll have to slap you in the eye.
lol and I want to fix them, I wouldn't have to buy anything. Just switch back the disc tray thing and re solder something I guess. Idk, I just want some extra money, that would be great.
If they are getting RROD, it's not a matter of dabbing something with a soldering iron, you need to use a reflow station.
not really much money in xbox360's 99% of people would avoid the original xbox 360's it would be a struggle to find someone to sell it to unless you sold it dirt cheap....in which case you would be spending more time fixing it than you could probably get by busking on a street for a few hours for future reference if you want to fix up a 360 for reselling try limit it to only slims, the originals have more issues than its worth
