ProgrammingAce's EA Xbox reminded me of this. Has anyone ever come across or remember seeing a white EA Genesis? The only time I've ever seen it was in a mini-magazine that came packed in with EGM around 1995 or so.
there is a white ea gamegear, maybe that's what you're thinking of (there are also 2 red ones, a blue one and a yellow one)
I thought the white Game Gear was just a limited edition released for the Japanese market? Came with a special briefcase-style carrying case and the TV tuner, if I recall correctly...
No, I'm sure it was a Genesis. It wasn't in the mini-booklet that I was originally thinking of though since believe it or not I actually found that. I still think where I saw it still had to do with EGM so it looks like I'll have to go through my back issues from 91 to 95 or so when I get a chance.
I've heared speak of this somewhere before too. It was on some tour Bus that was going round the USA promoting EA games, from what I heared?
It was probably just a one off custom job. I remember way back in the 80's that Mean Machines (UK mag) were doing a compo' for a white Sega Master System with a slatted tomato image on it. It actually looked very nice but alas was just a one off console. yakumo
