http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060223/ap_en_ot/china_cartoon_ban Methinks someone in power saw Cool World. I still want my hour and twenty minutes plus 8 bucks back with interest. You hear me New Line Cinema?
How many live action cartoon bland shows are there anyway? I think 99 % of them are on Nick. I dont see why they would go as far as banning them. P.s. Cool world was weird. Really weird.
Not that I understand China's mentality behind anything (except imprisoning or executing people that say "Fuck China"), but what exactly does this accomplish?
More ego than popcorn, methinks. This could be, of course, that Ebert's ego is a tasty blend of eleven herbs and spices that melts in your mouth. It could explain why he's so full of it at times. The funny part though, is that as pretentious as he acts, at the end of the day he's just some chump who makes a living offering loud opinions about movies. If that's not lame, I don't know what is.
Being in Australia I can't say I've ever seen Ebert but doesnt he do more then just voice his opinion? Down here we have a similar show called, shock horror, "The Movie Show" and on that the 2 presenters make an effort to actually anaylise and explain the film they are reviewing.
I remember watching the early morning news once and seeing Gene Shalit doing some review of some movies. That guy is REALLY weird looking. I thought it was a Joke when I first saw it. Surprised I didnt know who he was.
I think Gene was doing the Super Mario look before Mario was even concieved. SO you should say that Mario looks like Gene Shalit.
