So, we all know Segata-san Shiro and his Sega Saturn music video. You may even know Yukawa Hidekazu, head Managing Director of Sega during the time of the Dreamcast. You've probably got a picture of him on your orange Dreamcast box. But did you know he also made a music video much in the same way that Segata-san Shiro did? Here it is in full!
Does this represent a typical japanese after work get together cos it looks like fun. He is also in the What is Shenmue DC Promo i think ?
Now I see where your avatar came from Yakumo. To be honest, there was a time I believed its you Yakumo. ( was before I ever watched your YT channel ) Thanks for sharing
In some cases, yes. And you are right, he is in What's Shenmue. At the time of making this video in 1999 he was 55. Hahaha, there's a few people who though my Avatar was me. But now the secret is out I grabbed a still from this video a few years back. Yeah, someone should show those stuck up old farts at Konami that it is possible to have fun and gain respect when you are old.
I thought so. Was yukawa also the guy that said ''the DC will have no 2d games made for it,, or something like that.
Yeah, you chase him down the street in Dobuita and you eventually catch up to him in the arcade. He was also in some Dreamcast tech demos, I think.
You are correct yukawa would not say this. But i wonder why 3d games like soul fighter & evil twin had no japanese release for DC these games are ok.
Soul Fighter I've never heard of but Evil Twin came out late in the systems life so I guess Sega or Ubisoft just thought it wasn't worth the effort due to possible low sales. Don't forget they'd have to translate the whole game.
I see but its still a shame that it did not get a japanese release. The DC needed more 3d action games and 2d games too. Soul fighter is a decent beat-um-up from 99 It has a european feel to the game as its made in france. It also has the kanji for soul on the cover too. http://www.gamefaqs.com/dreamcast/198706-soul-fighter
