...an expensive supergun beautifully painted. With a fascinating name.

  3. 2-slot MVS board with a BIOS mod and a Jrock RGB converter, with an orange metal plate attached to it. I think it's way too expensive for what it is.

    Wow, what a joke.

The case doesn't look anything like a console (METAL console??). The JAMMA connector is STILL poking out the front. The S-Video and composite has been tapped off the board. Looks like it uses some kinda odd laptop PSU......

    Hmm, lemme see.....

MVS 1 slot, up to £50
    A/V connectors, up to £5
PROPER arcade PSU, or something that'll do the job (e.g. AT PSU), up to £20
Neo Geo style Joystick ports, up to £5
JAMMA edge connector, up to £5

So, the parts cost under £100, which is less than $200. Yeah OK, I didn't include the case, but is that worth $300? umm, NO!!!

Oh, and its pretty damn ugly!!

This is worse than the people who convert Space Invaders dedicated cabs to JAMMA, thinking they'll be worth more !! Actually I dunno, maybe not... at least this isn't damaging a piece of history!

Bare PCB... ugly. If it was going for cheap I'd go for it, but at that price it's not worth it.

You have to remember many people can't be arsed to bother themselves with doing such things, so such "specialised" services are quite welcome, and they are willing to pay big bucks for them.

My opinion? Well, I don't know what the heck it does, but it looks ugly as sin. :-D

  7. Actually, this particular model of Neo Geo board (and a few others) has controller ports on it already. There is no place to "tap s-video and composite off the board" though. That's why there's a Jrock RGB converter in it (see the description).

Easy to tap it off the board, just make your own converter! Simple little circuit.

And IMHO, a console with the game ports on the side isn't a very good console! Hence transfer the ports to the front if you were going to "consolize" it.

WTF! It's already on $560! This is a joke!

It's just a modded 2-slot MVS system with some paint on it. My friend makes/mods those things all the time.

The high bidder, who has bumped it all the way, is a new user... and already has a negative for non-payment on an AES at $250... dunno if they are for real, then!
