http://techcrunch.com/2006/10/31/top-10-worst-gaming-handhelds/ I own the Atari lynx , Nintendo Gameboy Advance,Nokia N-gage,Bandai Wonderswan, Sony psp, Nintendo Gameboy Micro And tiger Game.com is the only truly bad game console out of them all the N-gage is a decent but not great system so i disagree with the article whoever wrote it is a complete loser who cannot appreciate handheld gaming.
Yes, it's a really bad article, but it's also from 2006. Although the PSP does have a pretty bad non-port library, still doesn't deserve #4 on that list.
That list makes me sick. The Lynx was a great handheld, able to do 3D scaling which the gameboy and game gear coudn't do at the time plus with all the arcade ports it had a great library of games. It was really state of the art for a handheld. The psp I still play all the time. This shows that just because someone can make a blog and a list doesn't mean they are intelligent in any way or have done research beyond what the kids are saying at school.
the person who wrote obviously has not played very many games on any of those 10 machines or has not played any at all the N-GAGE QD might have some issues like bad controls it reminds me of a jaguar control with a screen :biggrin-new: !!! but it has some good games ! and reasonable graphics some of the games are on PSP or GBA
Lynx is one of my favorite handhelds i don't care if its a battery hog there's no denying it has a very good library of games
true even with all the ports the PSP is also one of my favorite systems i also like watching some movies on it through the tv
The problem with lists is the same problem with studies: you never know where the heck they're getting this crap from. I'd just like to know the rationale for the ranking. If it was by sales or monetary loss at least a few of those would make sense. It seems more like what the jerk doesn't like. By any right, the only thing you could hold against the Lynx was the cost. Otherwise, it was a great little system with some really great games. If you want to get picky the Virtual Boy wasn't a handheld system but a portable one, which is a great example of very confusing marketting. What Wonderswan is doing on there at all I'll never know, and if we're talking monetary loss why the Neo Geo Pocket isn't someplace on there is a good question. Don't get me wrong, it had some amazing games--a certain Ogre Battle title among them--but it followed the Neo Geo general gameplan of seperating you from your gold mine and trust fund.
If this wasn't from 2006, I'd say "the Angry Video Game Nerd". I do enjoy his videos, but it seems like if says something is a shitload of fuck, there's a lot of people who are willing to accept it as gospel even if they know nothing about the game/system.
It's posted on a website where to be a "tech analyst" you have to own a few gadgets and be able to google. Aparantly a poor screen outweighs two massive devices that sucked batteries dry and debatably had good games, one of which even had a poor screen.
Yup, had a great old time with my Lynx when it came out, and the PSP doesn't deserve to be on a bad portable list. Guy is nuts. Angry Video Game Nerd can be nuts too. His Nintendo googles are so firmly on he can't tell the difference between the graphics in Cybermorph on Jaguar and Star Fox on SNES. Better framerate, more ploys, Gourand shading... Too much Rolling Rock! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGEGon-Qc_Q <<< AVGNs least finest hour. Even kinda slags off AvP.
How can the GB Micro be on rank 2? It's an amazing device for GBA games... the screen is fantastic and it's really small yet comfortable to play on.
Nearly every handheld has at least one gem worth playing on it. Yes, even the N-Gage, which had pocket kingdom and Pathway to glory. I got a GP32 right as it was released, and have a few GP32 games still. Tomak! Save the Earth again, Dungeon and Guarder, GP Fight, and Pinball Dreams are all quality, fun games. This article seems very shallow.
Unfortunately no, I ordered all my GP32 games with the system and was never able to find others for sale. I never got Little Wizard or Astonisha Story R. I did play the shit out of the emulators and homebrew on the system, though. Back when it was released, being able to take Sega Genesis or NES games with you on the go, and being able to watch video and listen to MP3s on the same device was jaw dropping. I still have all my shit boxed, I should play with it sometime.
< yep i agree and i dont like most the articles opinions of cause Game.com deserves to be there limited graphics only about 20 games ??? lol
