Final Fantasy x-2. Seriously. The title/intro theme has to be one of the most beautiful piano compositions ive ever heard. Especially about 45-50 seconds in when it starts to pick up. Simply amazing. Im off to go start learning how to play this on piano. EDIT: Link to the song if you have never heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiqhTcTbo7Q
Haha, I remember when it came out, I would sit at the Title Screen forever before I started Playing XD I ended up having some odd 438 hours of multiple playthroughs to get everything. Oh and btw the way if you want to learn it on piano. It can be played in either 3/4 or 6/8 Time(Tempo changes once I think). And it's in B-Flat Major. That should help you figure it out by Ear. PS. I hate the piano collections version.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wTiMk06sZc Well, I really love this piano version of a Chrono Trigger melody. But then again I really enjoy kLuTz and his music.
True, not very complex ( yet for some reason im having trouble learning it lol) but i just love the way it sounds. I gotta check out some more of his stuff, this was a pretty good rendition of it.
It doesn't have to be complex or amazing Theory wise for a piece of music to be good. The simplest of Tunes can have the greatest expression of emotion and feeling.
Like the Song of Healing in Majoras Mask. I love that song so much even though it's so simple. For FFX-2, it has wonderful music, but I never really was able to get into the game enough to enjoy it.
Some have argued he was following a mathematical formula. Someone wrote an AI program that wrote pieces so wonderful, when people found out it was computer written they wanted to lynch the guy. Some have said he was very smart and used his logic to combine the best of the day into pieces... sort of like an antique version of fruityloops or mpc. Fascinating man, for sure.
I don't understand what people have against simple music. Have they never heard of Beauty in Simplicity? As a person who appreciates and loves almost all music and has studied theory(Minus some classical music that is so mechanical it's devoid of emotion), I'll never get it.
