Hopefully because the Neo Geo is now officially discontinued, prices will fall since the NG scene will have to get over the console some time.

Thats the only problem with the neo geo the prices are way too high, but its due to it being baisicly the arcade. Cheap games go as low as $30 at most. Neo Geo cd isn't bad, but selection is limeted on it.

Yep, the last game was released this week or last week which was a special edetion of samura showdown 5 (or samurai spirts zero if you live in japan). This decision is based on sammys new board thats based on the dc (why didnt they just continue naomi support?).

  9. I'm hoping that the prices will fall too, because I'd love to have myself an AES system.

And yes, the Neo has been discontinued, but it sortof lives on in the Atomiswave, which is where all of the next SNK games will be (Dear Sega-Sammy Holdings: HOME ATOMISWAVE NOW. Thank you.)

And yeah, you really shouldn't ask for rom/emulator help here unless it's pertaining to an unreleased game, and I somehow don't think that Kof99 is unreleased. :smt043 But yes, I agree with you that the cart prices are far too ridiculously high, ("Yes, I'd like to spend this month's rent on a video game...") but still, piracy related talk, whatever your stance, isn't allowed here.

That being said, Google is your friend, as I'm sure some of us here have successfully working Neo emus - just look around. And due to the nature of this topic, I'm going to lock it just in keeping with the rules.
