Why can't I use PS Move controllers with my DECR-1000A?

Whenever I connect a Move controller (either the Navigation Controller or the Motion Controller) by USB it never syncs with the system, It does charge them though but it never recognizes them as anything.

I do not yet have a WiFi/BT antenna connected on the system as they are sold out everywhere, It has always been completely wired.

I think move controller is not supposed to be used in wire mode. So Sony didn't make it to communicate signal via USB cable. You should take the 1000A apart, pull the wifi/Bluetooth daughter board out and solder a long wire from the contact point and let it pass through one of the fan holes. The antenna is next to impossible to buy and expensive. I was told that the wire has to be in multiple of 7cm for best signal quality.

I was asking because I have used Move controllers on retail PS3's and they do work wired, I find it really weird that the DECR doesn't recognize them wired since a Wireless PlayStation Controller no matter if it is the Motion Controller would need to be synced before it ever got recognized wirelessly just how I need to first sync a regular controller to a PS3 if I want to use it wirelessly.

The DECR-1000A recognizes pretty much everything else, including counterfeit controllers, I have only had problems with move controllers (which shouldn't really be an issue since the latest SDK has a pkg sample for a program that uses the Move controller).

Thanks for your help, I'd really like to know more before messing around with the hardware.

DECR systems are much stranger beasts.
On a DECR1000A you have to have the antenna for controller wireless connectivity. If you dont you end up with no connection and must wire it accordingly (thankfully theres 6 ports)

Believe it or not you can in fact make your own antenna for this, though it's better to have the one it came with, even if it's annoying to get hold of.

You can use a basic wire and strip the end and pretty much "plug" it into the antenna slot. Its pretty ghetto but it worked great for me until I found an antenna for sale a while back. Although the wire has to be very small.

On retail, the controller can still communicate with the Bluetooth module even plugged to USB. I guess that the USB cable on Move is only for charging, no communication signal pass through.

    Ho-ly phuck! It worked!

I plugged a end-stripped bread wire into the ANT IN connector and the DECR now turns on by pressing the PS Button on regular controllers, PS Move also syncs now when I connect it by USB to the DECR, I just played a session of Deadstorm Pirates with the SOCOM 4 Move Controller and it was excellent, PS Move tracking also seems to be insanely better on DECR, I also have a retail CECH-2500 and the tracking capabilities of that system are quite laughable compared to DECR.
