I have never in my life made it past the first stage (2 levels + boss) without dying at least once. Sometimes I die several times. Sometimes I die several times fighting the boss at the end of the stage. There's something about the physics and timing of the game that my brain just doesn't jive with. Jumping over the bullets seems more like guesswork. When I try to throw stars at the boss' head I maybe hit one in 5. Once I get 3 hits in I use the special power up to finish the job. And I swear to God if I drop to the ground level and die because of a knife thrust to the edge of my toe again I'm going to lose it. It always looks like I have enough distance and I make the same mistake every time I play. I use that as my tester game for any Pc Engine HuCard system so I've played it dozens if not 100 times. I just...can't....seem....to.....stop....dying..... Anyone else have a "nemesis" game?
Yeah, for some reason I have always sucked hugely at the Tarzan swing-from-the-vines (and keep falling off, in my case) section of Kingdom Hearts. :evil: I'm usually pretty good at anything that requires timing/sequence, but for the life of me, I just can't do that part... :shrug:
I was always terrible at the Shinobi bonus stage, the little ninjas would always get to me pretty quick. The first boss is the armoured guy with the fire attack right? In the Master system version I used to love the noise and animation when he was killed, it was like a little whistle and he`d fall to the floor like he was bowing down. Think he was Ken Oh in the SMS version.
I think i actually compleated this when i was much younger maybe 14-15. I used to play that game hardcore for agessss i had huge issues with the boss. I must of got to the end like 8 times before i finished it once! Isnt there like a stupid maze stage somewhere in the game or am i going crazy?
I cannot pass the first 50 feet withouth losing all my lifes. I really suck at Shinobi, I've never liked it, and I just have it because it came with Mega Games 3...
What version are you playing? I cranked it up in MAME back in Hawaii and got a 1 coin clear somewhat easily. Shadow Dancer is a whore though.
Why do I suck so much at Moonwalker? I really don't like to touch the children like mickel does but they game wont let me beat the first stage unless I touch the children. Shinobi is always hard. I think what gave me the most problems was the guys on the second stage or the boss. I now usualy can get through the first few stages without dying but the damn first boss always ends up killing me one or two times.
Thats Revenge of Shinobi aka The Super Shinobi. The maze level is the last one, you have to go through the right doors in sequence to get to the boss room.
Revenge of Shinobi is one of my favourite games for MD, although I've never finished it (I've reached the last level several times but for no exact reason I haven't ever seen the final boss). I have two "nemesis" games, both for MD, Fifa 96 and Eternal Champions. I think I've never managed to win a single soccer match in Fifa and I've never been able to beat the Eternal Champion in the story mode of EC. Fifa 96 is the reason I usually hate all sports games (Virtua Tennis is an exception).
