Hi. I opened up the PSY-Q folder, and I went into PSY-Q-DOC.

Upon reading PSYQ2.PDF, all the files and folders are completely out of order!

There is no folder named Disc 1, Disc 2 etc.

If I got into a folder (EG: GNUPSX.ZIP from Disk 2 - PlayStation specific library and include files from Sony) that is no where to be found without doing a shitty Windows 7 fail search...

This is the one I downloaded...

Does someone have it in order?

If not, I guess I will have to do it all myself huh, and put it back into the correct folders via reading the documents layout...

Yeah I downloaded this months ago and never figured it out either. Today, however, after finding your post i decided to dig up the folder and found the install instructions for the dtl-h2500 board which is why i downloaded this stuff to begin with, just trying to get my dev boards up and running.

You don't know how lucky you are to have those development boards :crying:

Yea, the dev boards are hard to set up. There are a bunch of tools and stuff. However, there was a folder that had the drivers if that is what you are after.

Forgot to mention that I am printing the entire PSY-Q manual. Yes. 302 pages or whatever it was. Been printing for nearly 22 hours now. lol. Lucky I kept my old Canon BJC-255SP printer. Though, it thinks it has a photo cartridge. That is why it is printing so slow. I got my folder set up with the nice graphics and all its missing is the papers :p

Gotta' love Psygnosis for all there hard work...

... which has no point, actually. There's nothing really important in the PsyQ documentation. Or at least there not many important things for which it is worth to print it.

It's not luck, you just have to be prepared to pay for them when they turn up.

No... in my case it was pure luck. Finding them the way i did was lucky. and paying as much as i paid for mine was luck. I was lucky. Unfortunately my luck has ran out because those boards are now sitting in storage, I've never been able to even test them. still searching to complete them though.

Also, is the DTL-S2002 contents in this download? believe it or not, I still havent found those damn dtl-h2500 drivers. All the readme's and other instrctions refer to either a "setup.exe" in the root directory of the DTL-S2002 disc or another file called "setup.bat" I can't find either. I found another file called H25DRV.EXE that was supposedly another driver, but still no go.

BTW, I finally got my asus motherboard with 2 isa slots and am running windows 98se just fine. Once i get a dtl-h2500 working ill get to work on one of my dtl-h2000's

Why did the person who ripped it, add it into random folder names?

It is completely off the manuals guide and none of the folders make any sense!

There is no way, I can organise it.

It came on 5 floppies for the Development Software, and then a few other discs after were copied. The guy who did it, chucked them into random folders. So even if you searched for the file, it is not the correct one!

Does anyone have the PSY-Q kit? If so, can you please rip if correctly??

    IE: Floppy 1 = FD Disc 1, Floppy 2 = FD Disc 2. CD-ROM 1 = CD Disc 1...

I'm not sure you want the original floppies files, when the stuff you dowloaded contains the all thing preinstalled, just extract it to c:\ps\ and that's it.

Cyberghost, have you read h2500.pdf from the psyq-doc.iso?
The drivers H25drv.exe and H25bios.com are \bin and in \psyq, hardly difficult to find...
You can read the rest of stuff , it starts on page 16.

I was following the manual / PSY-Q documentation, and all the files are mashed together. I do not know what's what!

Would have been easier if it was in folders named what the disc's were called...

I had the same problem when setting up my system (DTL-H2000, DTL-H2500 and CD Emulator). It seems they have changed the installation procedure somewhere during its lifetime, so certain folders weren't where they're supposed to.
I think I ended up doing searches by file name over the entire hierarchy, just to find the correct folder. It worked somehow, apart from some files being in there in multiple versions. The DEXBIOS (DTL-H2000 driver) was quite easy to find, but it took me around three days and all 3-4 versions of H25BIOS (for DTL-H2500) including their respective flash ROM updates to get the card working. But it was worth it, the H2500 is definitely better (at least for debugging; it supports interrupting the target ).

    Dont follow the documentation.

If you are talking about the stuff from snesorama, all you need to do is unpack it to a folder as unclejun suggested then look in the root folder there will be a batch file, run this from a command line and you are off.

It looks something like this (this example is what I use)

I then unpacked the updates over the top to update the libs and stuff to 4.6

Are you running windows 95 or 98?

    Just add shell=c:\command.com /e:2048 /p to your config.sys

That will increase the environment space.
