I do fully understand your point, the lack of content on pnet is a testament to this fact, however what im trying to get at is that who ever is taking this vigilante aproach has no right at all to do so. As i also said in my previous post, i dont know the details of what gamecheat did, it is non of my concern in all fairness, i just think the end result was a tad extreme. Personally, i wouldnt give or even talk about things with people who i either dont personally know or trust or dont come highly recomended by others. So far this policy has worked well for me, and i have never suffered from a leak or even a whisper of my current actions. You have to bear in mind there are a LOT of kits in the wild now, all over the world. Ive even visited chinese and japanese forums where users discussed their kits. With the new jtag hack present there will always be those who seek notoriety from releasing a beta or non public release from pnet, wether that be arcade titles or in game content that is not yet available, i know this, you know this so im damned near sure that MS knows this also. At the end of the day, i still stand by the fact that pnet is not our domain to protect and the acts of vigilantism that has and probably will continue to happen does no good for the scene at all. None of us have the right to decide who can and who cant have a kit, its a comodity that is traded just as retails are. If MS realy wanted to secure pnet, they could do it in one fell swoop by insisting that studio's use a static ip that has to be registered with MS in order to access their server. Thanks for the responce though, its a very interesting subject that i am glad we can intelligently discuss.
That being said, I'm sure we can all get back on topic. I am curious bob did the reflash work for you?
