I think this question is pointless as different people would have very different standards in regards to selling/buying things.... My dream is still getting either a whole DDR machine or a at least it's metal dancing pad(s) on it to at least convert to something PS1 or PC compatible. And currently DDR games popularity are in the rock bottom so I may be interested in picking one up from a local arcade or something......... But not something that would be breaking bank....... So the question is....... Is offering say $1,000 an insult for owners of these machines?
Metal Dance Pad: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/370510362263?lpid=82 $315 or so after shipping. It's PS2/Xbox/GC/USB compatible, so that gives you a wide array of options to build a cabinet. A stock PS2 would be a great option, you could also mod an Xbox to boot Stepmania + DDR Ultramix, or you could build a cabinet out of a dedicated PC and run all the PS1 and PS2 DDR games in addition to Mario Megamix, DDR Wii, and Stepmania (which is incredible for customization). PVM monitors would be great for a PS2/Xbox setup, and LCD/LED would be sufficient for PC.
I don't think 1k is insulting. The cabs have been around for ages and some are probably in rough shape. I'd personally say hit up an arcade auction as you might get a better price.
My friend has a nice metal dance pad it runs on serial and has a usb adaptor for his pc but i think it also can have adapters for other consoles its quite nice never asked how much it was.
Sadly I can't use that ebay link because they don't ship to the Philippines. Still thank you for the suggestions.
