I thought it would be better to make a topic about it, so we can all discuss the various compatibility issues that may arise, under one thread.

for startes, this is someone running the AR hack, using what appears to be Samson's loader

from the video show, it seems to me that the only problem is adjusting the POT of the drive - the retail setting being too high, as with most gamecubes back in the day.

Indeed, with time, it would be nice to see an X-window Linux running on that little marvel. Using the remote instead of a mouse sounds intruiging too!

How did you get that idea? Disk Read Errors would be the pot adjustment I'd think. We are talking about the Wii aborting GC mode and restarting in Wii mode. It would be awesome to have the Wii's extra horse power and ram for homebrew. But it looks like that may be a ways off. Well actually, maybe not as it seems like its just using the optical drive is a ways off. It'll be interesting.

You re right, I wasnt thinking straight. I made a correction to my theory in the other thread.

By the way though, before i set my POT on the gamecube, after using the debug command, it didnt give me a DRE.just a black screen.

    I m curious though,

Can someone try the game PSO , and Mariokart:DD to see if the LAN option pops up in the latter one?
