Today I decided to put the Wii back online via AOS. While updating the system I noticed that the main menu now has a clock on it which was never there before. Has anyone else notioced this? Yakumo
And they added USB-keyboard compatibility with messege sending stuff too.(sadly not with the Internet channell)
This is Nintendo we are talking about, always doing something so that something that could be near perfect is flawed in someway. Gosh a clock, now all I have to do is switch the machine on, wait for it to boot and I can see what time it is... thanks Nintendo!
Mark, i m really happy that you have F-zero X downloaded on your Wii! tell me what you think? Have you played the original on the n64 back in the day?=) how do you compare it to GX?
Why does nintendo half ass everything in their hardware? are they of the mind that as long as it doesn't break and it's nintendo people will buy it?
Well they're selling a less than half-assed nextgen console which is actually the same console they launched 6 years ago, and at a higher price, yet people keep buying it... If you give a hand to a corporation they'll take your arm.
Well, the Internet Channel is not developed by Nintendo themselves.. so the fact that they added support for it in the firmware does not mean it'll automatically work in all applications for the Wii. I'm sure the Opera guys will take advantage of this feature with the next update of the Internet Channel - you just have to be patient.
The first day I used the Wii I actually wondered why it didn't have a clock, so this being added was a good thing for me. Having said that, why don't developers add a clock to their games? Sometimes I wish I could be playing, say, Metroid 3, and be able to see what time is it on the options screen where the map is. Same thing with the Nintendo DS. An alarm would be nice, you know, one that tells you that yes, you have been playing for 15 min, your break is over, get back to the office. Of course, I wish for many things because I'm lazy. But still, someone should take advantage of that small feature.
