Just downloaded the japanese beta. So far pretty impressed, the pages load quite quick. I tested logging into some forums, it woked flawlessly. Visited youtube & it plays video fine. Logged into a chatroom worked fine with that too. you can zoom into the screen using the + & - buttons so you can see better if you have a standard non progressive scan tv.
I wonder what happens when you log into the VC website (usa one). If it will work or not though the browser.
was going to try this when I had downloaded the browser. unfortantly I could remember the url.. so I'm going to try it when I get home later tonight. hopefully it could make it possible for me to shop from the japanese shopping channel :nod: (but I doubt it) edit: have tried it now.. didn't work (at least not for me ^^), no real surprise thought. edit2: did a "aboutpera" in the address field and got Version 9.00 Build 1309-9 Platform Nintendo Wii (duh!) I tried it today as well. Works great. Like importaku I tried Youtube without any problems plus the full screen option works as well. Everything loads quite fast but I do hate the whopping big icon bar at the bottom of the screen. I hope the final browser has the option to remove it or make it smaller. A nice feature is that you are able to book mark pages just like on a PC. The get saved to the Wii's internal memory. Here's a few shots of it running on my crap TV. Normal View Zoomed view Yakumo
Nice, and yeah those big buttons look like an ugly MacOS dock ripoff... Is this browser based in opera? is free or you gotta pay for it?
the trial version is free but when the final gets released in a few month it will cost 500points from what I've heard
