From what I understand, Wii Kiosks run full retail games for the most part, but I wasn't sure if anyone knew whether or not there were any out there running anything equivalent to the GCN "Multi-Game Interactive Demos". I know there's a movie demo out there, and I'd love to get my hands on that, the one the chick narrates and describes how to use the Wii. I also imagine that there are E3 floor demo discs and whatnot out there too, but that's a whole other level of obscure that probably represents a bigger check than what I can write at the moment. So in more general terms then, does anyone know of anything along the lines of a Kiosk/Display disc, video or playable, that might be circulating out there for the Wii that I could put alongside my GCN discs and DS Download Station carts?
I know the LoZ:TP kioski disc (US) wasn't the retail copy, but was a demo disc. You couldn't start a new game, only choose 1 of 3 things to try out (swordfighting, fishing, and i think horseback) Everything past that (and before that with Excite Truck) has been retail as far as I can tell. Good luck getting your hands on that one
Hm...that's good to know. Nothing that has been circulated through retail stores as a kiosk demo will be *that* rare, although admittedly I didn't ever see any Kiosks offering TP. I must own this disc now though, lol. Anyone ever comes across one, PM me.
I think most US retail run a demo disc. I am not familiar with the Wii network service, do they allow downloadable demos on it? I played a few demos in the store a few weeks ago. Prior to that I played full retail copies.
The Zelda disc I'm reffering to was exclusively at GameStop/EB (AFAIK) It was definitely a disc, as going to the home menu showed it on the disc channel. I could be wrong, but I think I remember the channel graphic having the word "DEMO" beneath the TP logo. Sure, it was circulated through retail, but as tight as Nintendo has been with the Wii - I'm pretty sure the reps made a decent effort of getting them all back. Not to mention, if someone did have a copy - it'd probably be hard to get it from them - and if they did decide to sell it, well, you'd be bidding against quite a few others, I'm sure. So, like I said, good luck :icon_bigg:
well.. i ve got a Wii Zelda expo disk. It was given to us (for free) by some employees that were showing off the wii officially in GReece for the first time.
