Hi everyone. This is my first post on the forums. I just finished my first portable system a few days ago. I basically modded the board a bit, took off a few components, and attached a screen to the existing Wii housing. Right now it runs off a charger still, but I will be putting a portable battery on it in the future and attaching it to the bottom of the Wii housing.

I'll include some pictures below as well as a video so you can see a little more detail and see it in action. Let me know you thoughts!

Also, I will be making these to order for anyone interested in purchasing one, so if you are interested, just shoot me a PM.

I really don't want to be offensive to first poster, but I wouldn't be offering that for sale.

    Personal use, sure.

Also, forum rules say you can't offer stuff for sale yet. Posting your work and asking people to pm is just trying to avoid them.

Nice work, going to need a lot of polishing.

A few thoughts I had though, your routing the wires through the vent, does the fan still work?

Have you heard of usb powered displays? Some of them can be had relitively cheap and come with speakers and touch.

You might try offsetting the screen so it only overhangs on one side, then when you add the battery it should be close to flush.

Speaking of which, you said that you don't want to use laptop batteries in this build due to the shape. Have you considered building a battery? Laptop batteries are made out of 4v cells, if need be you could crack one open and make it any shape you like.

Seeing as your screen voltage is lower than the systems, you could just add a voltage reducer and hook it up directly. Also, have you thought about adding the power adapter to the build and have detachable power cable?

What about color, do you prefer the black on white or do you plan on using different color systems in future builds?

About the strap, if your planning on making it for the car anyway, why not mount the screen to the side so it is always open and use the strap to attach to the seat? You could also build a stand on the other side. Basicly a Wii tablet.

    Just my two cents.
