Is there any history/development of the Wii Mini? Was it designed by Nintendo Of Japan? America? There is like little to no history of the damn thing yet its been out since 2012 in Canada. Any info helps thanks.
It sold around 30k units in Canada during the first few months (which, back then, was next to nothing). Other than that I'm not sure. I still see them sometimes on the shelves, but they've mostly vanished by now.
We have at least one per any give store around me (Walmart, Target, Kmart). It's bundled with Mario Kart 7 and a controller at $99.99, which Mario Kart 7 and a controller are worth getting it alone. It's like the Wii Mini is just a bonus item. I intend on getting one and never cracking open the box.
They're still available from Amazon here, with (109€) and without Mario Kart (99€), don't think they're very common in stores anymore. Seen a few at an electronics store recently, but that's about it for retail. Don't have any sales information or anything else tho, sorry.
I've been a lot of them at Target. I want to say it was developed by NoJ, but they kinda abandoned it and just released it in Canada. No clue why it got a wider release like 6 months later.
