I went to Nintendo World in New York today, to pass some time waiting for my friend to get off work. When I got there, the doors were locked, and there were signs saying they closed at 4pm for a special invite-only event. There were lots of people in the store smartly dressed... possibly a press event? I looked on one wall and saw.... people playing Wii! They had lots of demo units all over the store, and were playing games such as bowling and tennis (OK, nothing groundbreaking there, but it was nice to see a machine in action!). They also had a video running in the window with clips from games... mostly Zelda, which looks pretty awesome! Oh, and the sign said something like, "Come back tomorrow for our Wii party!". So anyone in New York, pop down to Nintendo World in Rockerfeller Plaza and you should get to see the machine in action! By the way, I did take a photo, but it came out REALLY bad.... damn camera phone!
