This Wii U will won't turn on, pressing the power or eject button causes the red light to start blinking, If I disassemble it it usually starts working fine, it however dies within a few hours. The warranty won't help as it is a second hand unit (I think the customer said he bought it online)

Overheating? Bad caps? Are any of the receivers on it loose?

    It's in protect mode.

Send it to nintendo for service.

Not a viable option for the customer that brought it in. need a way to fix it if possible. Thanks though.

Odds are it's power related, did you try another power brick?

You can things to Nintendo for fixing outside of the warrenty (at least here in Europe), but it would cost some money.

If it is second hand but the console isn't registered to Nintendo yet, and the customer still has the paperwork, you might have a chance of it getting repaired under warrantly. If not, you have to tell the customer to send it to Nintendo to fix it anyway. This isn't like an iPhone with a cracked screen.
