    As things stand, which is the option of choice for running Wii and GameCube software, should one have an adequate PC?

    I understand that each, with the right software, can load disc rips for either system, with controller flexibility? So in question would be:

    * Fidelity in execution
    * Fidelity in output
    * Energy efficiency/waste heat
    * Possibility of res/texture upgrades
    * Obviously a Wii U can run Wii U games (but few are unique and exclusive to that system)
    * Anything else

    (This isn't exactly "development" - feel free to kick it over to a more generic forum.)

    Dolphin emu is the only one that will render in 1080p and can run mods to up textures and such easy like.

    Right, but that does no good if it otherwise doesn't cut it in terms of fidelity to the original system with noteworthy games.

    Edit: What I'm worried about with the Wii U is anything like this, if true.
