i have setted it up as described in the manual, but i still fel that it is not effective enough, it's not asresponsive and accurate as it should be.. that is particularly noticable in the golf game of wii sports when you are trying to shot a low strenght shot... sometimes it "misses" the movement... also in the tennis games foten it seem that it misenterpret the straight and backhand shots... is it a problem of the wii, the game, or of the setup? when browsing the menus it looks ok and moves quite accurately tought... any idea about how to fix it or improve its performances? or it is just like that?
Hmm, I don't have Wii sports but I did try a lot of the remote features on that Hajimete No Wii game with the cow racing and Pool game. Seemed to work great on them. It's a stupid thing but did you make sure that the Wii sensor bar in configured in the Wii's menu (On top or below the TV) That may be the problem. Yakumo
Make sure you put the sensor bar in the correct position and tell the Wii which you chose (above or below PC).... depending on whether you sit or stand, probably. I find you need to keep perpendicular to the sensor bar, and hold the remote exactly as the game says (e.g. facing the bar or whatever). Other than that, it is pretty sensitive, some games allow you to adjust sensitivity but it is pretty much spot on! Just keep fiddling and you'll find a setup that suits you... and get used to it, of course! I find the part that works the worst in the whole thing is my arm... after a while pointing at the screen, it bloody hurts!
i had obviuosly correctly placed the bar and tinkled on the setup of it, for it is below my tv... so i don't get what is the problem...
mmmh not as good as they advertised then... i'll try to tinker with the options.... actually i feel that the configuration of the sensor bar is really lacking in dept i'd like something more accurate....
Hey your not the only one, I seem to have the same problem with golf (hitting light shots). I thought it was the way i was holding the remote since everything else is works perfectly, but I haven't played a lot of golf so haven't tried holding it in different ways. Other then the golf, everything works perfectly
it's the relative movement that's not registered accurately, leading to issues. Accelerometers have a starting point and calculate relative distance covered. There's far too many ways to 'trick' this simple mechanism. Hopefully, the new API will offer greater depth in control by applying more checks per cycle.
