I know I'm late but hey, I'll help. Most digicams don't compress the video, so you're gonna need a big memory card. I mean at least 2-4GB. On my Canon A1 (I think) 512MB fills up in about 10 minutes or so. Resolution's pretty high and so i picture and sound quality.

Apologies for the bump. I just wanted to say that despite being almost no help at all in this matter, today I received a small airmail package, which to my surprise and delight contained free proto gaming goodness. It was a happy end to what had been just another tiring, stressful day, and it put a smile on my face. That kind of generosity is genuinely humbling.

    So thanks, BA. It's appreciated.

Although it might be late (I'm not doing this for anything), I recommend for video you get a Casio EX-750 (I think thats the model number).

    Few points.

    1. If its not convient, you won't carry it or use it. The Casio EX-750 is slim and easy to take (I take mine all the time).

    2. The battery life lasts a long time for both video and pictures. For me, as a benchmark, I never needed to recharge after heavy use during a single day. At the most all I needed to do is recharge after 1.5 days if I was worried about running out.

    3. The Casio takes 30fps video at 640x480, and encodes directly to MP4/Xvid/Divx. So basicly, for video, what would take 4 gigs worth of space (my brothers Canon), it takes less than 1 gig for the Casio. No idea why other companies don't pay for the codec licences, but Casio did (was the only one at the time I found who did this, and not used Motion JPEG).

    4. It actually takes good pictures. It uses a pentax lens, and in pocket sized cameras, their lenses arn't too shabby at all.
