As the title says i'd like to change the drive location for the library. For some reason Vista decided to swap my 2nd hdd and dvd drive round and it won't let me change them back in disk management. So my media lbrary has changed drive location and I can't find the option to change it in winamp. All answers on the net say re-add, but i'd rather not do that as I have ~ 150gb of music and my 2nd hdd is pretty flakey and on its way out so I don't want to cause undue stress.
Export the playlist to a .m3u file, open the m3u file with a texteditor (even notepad is ok) then do a find and replace on your drive letters
Make sure you use "X:", where x indicates the new drive letter, not just the letter of the drive, or anything with that letter will change ;-).
Thanks that worked, though I had to add everything into a playlist and I still can't find the option to add more columns to a playlist. Only having title and length with no search box is a bit annoying. Do you know how to add more? Been using winamp for a few months and still find it very counter intuitive.
Have managed to fix the library now by editing the old itunes XML with the same method and importing that into winamp. Most recent stuff isn't there, but its good enough when there are 28000 songs to choose from
