I just built a new computer and after installing drivers I get "C:\Program Files\ATI" opening up everytime and I have no idea why or how to stop it. Also, my GF's computer does that samething except it's system32 folder. help? edit: wrong forum, can a moderator move it to computer support for me please? thanks
Sounds like it is running a batch file on boot up, my old laptop used to do the same, I wouldn't worry about it unless it's causing problems... if you spyware and anti virus programs aren't saying anything then don't worry.
Make sure its not in your startup folder or msconfig. If it wasnt in those check the registry folder below for a key leading to the folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run\
Henners: Try this software: http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/hijackthis.php Its called Hijackthis, its a program that shows you what the registry is running on startup, etc. It's very useful but I would google anything your not sure of before you delete anything. Jeff.
