So what does this actually do? Looks like a chinese pirate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM-89XIAxSs&feature=grec_index
As you probably guessed, it doesn't really do anything. However, there are some Famiclones with keyboards that come with "operating systems" that allow you to (sort of) do things like word processing...
Nice tech demo. I remember famiclone bundled with cartridge that contained word processors (as 7Force said), music making software etc., famiclones are powerful enough, yet cheap to serve purpose of educational toy.
Many Famiclone keyboards come with their own OS software. The ones I sell come with Windows 2000 (or XP, I forget).
Fwiw i recall there was a windows 98 for iOS but it's pretty useless and does nothing at all... Interestingly enough months ago the app store had a version of DOS released but apple took it down when they realized it basically rooted the device.
Was probably some sort of x86 emulation (like DosBox) running on it then running Dos then running Windows 98.
And it doesn't even matter if you surf in that "NES intraweb" or the real chinese internet, because both sucks the same.
It was prety fast opening the applications etc. faster that the old win 98 computer we still have at work! LOL
It would be considering it loads almost nothing to ram as does the real windows 98... Everything would be run on the fly and closed as it goes. No real multitasking, am i right?
I thought putting an OS on a piece of hardware for absolutely no reason whatsoever was something only Linux people did.
