What are you using as modded dashboard? If you made it that far, you can use the phoenix bios loader to load another bios from drive. From that moment, you can compare the system with a chipped one, as that simply loads another bios from your chip. The advantage of a chip is that it loads at boot so it doesn't depend upon a working system to get into modded state.
