    Hi everyone,

I've been going through a few of my bits and pieces in preparation for moving house, and figured it was about time I posted a few pictures of a press kit I've been hoarding and nearly forgot I had.

I picked this up a few years ago while rummaging through boxes of old games at a local carboot sale. At first, I thought it was simply an alternative edition of the game I wasn't aware of, but soon realised it was significantly more than that after opening up the case.

For those who've researched this kit before, you'll know that it comes with a reasonably impressive lenticular cover that shows a number of craft speeding towards you. The first shot I taken is that very cover, though you'll have to forgive my poor photography skills!

The second shot is of the back of the packaging, and is relatively empty.

Last, but not least, is a shot of the two discs included with the package. From what I can tell, the game disc contains is nigh-on identical version to the retail one, but the "Press Materials" disc is where all the interesting stuff lies (as and when I have some time, I'll try to post some follow-up shots of the contents).

Now this is a super nice find. I love the wipeout series. But fusion was... well, not up to the high standard of quality set by Wipeout 3 Special Edition.

Not a bad game at all, but 3 was so much better.

That cover looks pretty good, and I'm very interested in seeing that extra content you mention, mate.

    Nice find.

Very nice! Thanks for posting this. The Board needs more WipeOut love ;-)

Yeah, I agree that Fusion isn't Wipeout's finest hour, but it deserves a place in the collection nonetheless. As soon as I can find the time, expect some more info on the Press Materials disc.

Actually, I have a beta version of Wipeout 3 on a Sony-branded CD-R too somewhere. Just like with the Press Materials disc, I'll document the thing properly when time permits.

I would be VERY interested if you did this! All I have is the Wipeout Pulse review copy that was leaked some years ago.

    Hi AntiPasta,

I don't think I've seen a review copy of Wipeout Pulse actually... Any big differences between that and the final retail build? I have a sealed press kit for the same title, but would rather keep it sealed. Now if only someone would sell me their Wipeout HD press kit...
