Whats wrong with the Mega CD 2.00 BIOS? I've got my J Mega CD 2 running Model 1 J and Model 2 J/U/E. So far, no incompatibilities in any Mega CD 2 BIOS.

If I had a Wondermega, I'd surely do a bunch of switchless mods to not damage the case. I'd do the same to CDX but the CDX is so tiny :smt009

You'd be an idiot to pay 899 US Dollars for that Wondermega. The box is even bashed at the top. Bloody rip off ! People like that piss me off. Taking advantage of others. A wondermega should cost no more than 500 US Dollars boxed in mint condition.

I've got a Sega branded Wondermega. It's in good condition and works fine but is unboxed. I'll be putting it on Ebay between now and Christmas so if you want me to let you know when its on there, give me a shout.

I am also a proud Wondermega owner, but of the JVC unit. I happen to prefer the JVC one over the Sega one, mostly cause of that white ring around the lid Sega added. I hear though that actually the JVC and Sega ones are identically rare. I have mine complete, 99% mint, with the JVC Wondermega Collection, box, warranty, etc. and paid about $550 for it...and its worth every penny! Second sexiest machine next to my Panasonic Q :) I attached the link to my Yahoo Photos album where I have 3 pics of the system and the stuff it came with if you wanna see it.

I like the Mega Drive and Mega CD logos that the JVC model has.

Can a Super 32x be connected to it?

I belive that it can as long as you have the right connectios. It would looka bit odd though sitting on a wondermega.

Yup, Yakumo is right, a 32X can be hooked up to it...yet it DOES make it look funky at that point lol

I don't think it looks funky with one... no funkier than a MD1.

  14. Wondermega is a gorgeous machine. Don't pollute it with a 32X....

I have to say though, an original MD1 & M-CD just looks like it means business. Cool beasty looking bit of kit.

    true true...

I was just curious. I even think that the 'first model combination' (MD1 + MCD1) looks beter than the second model set.

I full agree on the setup of the original Genesis/Sega CD. I always thought they just seamlessly merge together and look perfect that way. I never did like the redesigned Genesis 2/Sega CD 2 combo. So, to sum it all up in my opinnons...Wondermega = Beautiful machine in every aspect.....Genesis/Sega CD = Merge gracefully to look like one console...Genesis 2/SCD 2 = Meh. Kinda looked cheap...32 X on top of a Wondermega = Blasphemy! *hugs his Wondermega and his original Genny/SCD combo* :)[/quote]

You cannot connect a 32X to a Wondermega. There's no RGB port on the wondermega, which the 32X requires. At one point JVC was offering a service to add this port, and occasionally you come across a system with it included, but it was never like that out of the box.

Too true that Megadrive 2 & Mega CD 2 are piece of crap machines, completely owned by the similar IFU-30 Briefcase.

At least the asian/jap MD2/MCD2 have a little splash of colour, the pal versions look like Fisher Price pre-school toys :smt067

I thought that there was an adaptor to connectr them. Sort of like what you need if using a Mega Drive 2. take a look at the back of my Sega branded Wondermega (Pretty sure the Victor oner is the same)

I was under the impression that an adaptor fitted between the S-Video out and the 32X connection. If not that then between the RF and 32X just like a Mega Drive 2.
